From 12 December 2009 to 11 April 2010, In occasion of the 5th centenary from his death, a prime event celebrates the genius and the greatness of Giorgione, the painter who realized the artworks considered to be universal symbols of the Italian. The exhibition “Giorgione. Paints and mysteries of a genius” will be an original and inedited excursus to admire the artist’s masterpieces for the first time gathered in Castelfranco Veneto, city of Giorgione’s birth. The exhibition takes place at the Casa Giorgione Museum in the heart of Castelfranco centre. It hosts the youthful artworks of Giorgione and those of big artists like Giovanni Bellini, Lorenzo Costa, Carpaccio, Perugino, Sebastiano del Piombo, Palma il Vecchio and even Leonardo, Raffaello, Tiziano, who were all in contact with Giorgione during his short life.
